Rosa Del Rosario

London, UK

Rosa Del Rosario is a multidisciplinary fibre artist, creative designer, and maker based in London. With a background in fine arts and advanced studies in textile art and design at the University of Granada, her practice explores material, memory, identity, and transformation through an experimental approach to weaving.

Working with reclaimed textiles, personal garments, and discarded materials from commercial and industrial environments, she explores their inherent qualities—weight, resistance, texture, and traces of previous use—allowing them to shape the structure and development of each work.

Weaving becomes a process of fragmentation and reconstruction, bringing materials with different histories into dialogue. Through repetition, tension, and accumulation, she investigates the space between chaos and order, fragility and resilience, allowing unexpected forms and textures to emerge.

Rather than imposing a predetermined outcome, she works intuitively with the material, allowing its physical characteristics to guide the process. Through transformation, familiar and discarded materials acquire a new presence, becoming tactile records of time, experience, memory, and human connection.
