Meg Tonkin - Student Member

London, UK

Meg Tonkin is a BA Fine Art student at Central Saint Martins in London, currently participating in PRISM Textiles’ Mentoring Programme as part of her Diploma in Professional Studies year.

Her practice explores the intersection between the man-made and the natural world through form, working across drawing and sculpture. Through PRISM, she is developing ways to translate her drawn creatures and structures into three-dimensional beings.

Soft sculpture sits at the core of her work, using a medium often associated with comfort and playfulness, and pushing it into something more unsettling, echoing the eerie quality of her drawings.
