Faye Hall

Bradford, UK

Faye is a textile practitioner whose work is heavily anchored in colour, placement and surface. Recent years have seen Faye’s creative practice focus on creating unique, sculptural and bold wearable pieces and vessels that translate elements from her on-going drawings and assemblages, but current work is allowing her to lean back into her true love of creating larger scale, intricate textile art works that explore the idea of abstracting site responses through placement, layers and memory.

Playing with found colour, shapes and material properties, Faye is developing a body of work that layers colours and light to unite her memories of space. Through ‘painting’ with yarn and mixed fibres, she is also exploring the delicate balance of colour dialogue through process and placement.
